From the Hypogeum Oil Mill to Oil: Oil Tasting in a Masseria near Lecce – SAL16

Located inside a Resort, you will find a 16th century Hypogeum Oil Mill. It tells the story of a rare place, witness to the flourishing rural economy of Salento, where the milling of olives and the production of oil were ensured both by animal traction (mule or donkey) and by the force of the wind. After the guided tour of the oil mill, you will continue with the tasting, both pure and with the combination of the typical Apulian bread obtained from Senatore Cappelli durum wheat, of two types of EVO oil from the area to discover those pleasant and interesting sensations that the intense aroma and the strong flavor of Apulian oil can give.
