Today you will begin your guided tour of the city of the two seas: Taranto.
In this guided tour of Taranto you will discover the places and monuments that make the Apulian town nestled between the Mar Grande and the Mar Piccolo unique.
At the chosen time, you will meet your guide in Piazza Castello, where you will begin a guided tour of Taranto, walking through the streets of what was once one of the nerve centers of Magna Graecia. From Piazza Castello, where the Taranto fortress known as Sant’Angelo stands, you will walk towards the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon from the 6th century BC, flanked by two Doric columns that testify to the important past of the Apulian town. You will cross the bridge which, with its 90 meters in length, crosses a 400 meter long navigable canal, joining the Mar Grande to the Mar Piccolo. From this panoramic point you can take wonderful photos!
