Today you will visit Trani. You will start from Piazza Manfredi, a stone’s throw from the Castle and Cathedral of Trani, the main attraction of the city.
We will delve into this imposing temple, the greatest exponent of Apulian Romanesque, built on the shores of the sea between the 11th and 13th centuries. After observing the details of its architecture, we will continue the tour to Giudecca, the ancient Jewish ghetto of Trani.
We will stroll through the streets of the medieval quarter while discovering the role of the Jewish community in the development of the city. Along the way, we will come across the Synagogue of Sant’Anna, of which we will admire the splendid medieval façade.
